Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti — from the Maasai word for 'endless plains' — is one of the most famous wildlife destinations on earth and the heart of the Great Migration. The park hosts the majority of the migration's annual cycle, from the calving season in the southern plains (around February) to the western corridor crossings mid-year.

Its sheer scale sets it apart: over 1.5 million wildebeest, alongside zebra and gazelle, move across an ecosystem that supports lions, cheetahs, leopards and the rare black rhino. The variety of landscapes and the feeling of remote, uncrowded wilderness are unmatched.
